João Pedro Craveiro holds a Ph.D. degree in Informatics from the University of Lisbon (2014), having obtained the B.Sc. (2007) and M.Sc (2009) degress in Informatics Engineering from the same university. he has taken part in national and international research projects at LaSIGE (Large-Scale Informatics Systems Laboratory), based around embedded and real-time systems - more specifically, time- and space-partitioned (TSP) architectures, multiprocessor real-time scheduling, and (self-)adaptability.
He is currently a product manager at a UK-based startup in the RegTech sector, and an assistant professor at Universidade Lusófona, where he coordinates (since 2013) the Advanced Computer Architecture course and the Computer Networks course. He has also performed teaching duties at the Lisbon pole of the Carnegie-Mellon University|Portugal partnership and the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon (FCUL).
